DIY: Doggie Travel Bag

We have a travel bag specially designated for the dogs and all their crap. Do you?

Same idea as a baby’s diaper bag, it sure is nice having all their things in one, easy-to-find location. I recently re-organized and re-vamped ours and thought I should share details.

Basic contents include: travel-tainer with food (both boys eat taste of the wild, so this is much easier now), collapsable bowl for Bear, metal bowl for Scooter, Fruitables dog treats, rope bone toy, spare collar and leash, wet wipes, Scotch Fur Fighters (can leave hotel rooms fur-free at  least!), medications, grooming bag, and two coats for Scooter.

^Bear wonders, ‘Are we going somewhere?’

Of course you should fill yours with what works for you. Each family and dogs needs will be different, this is just what works for us. I’ve included links (where applicable) to the products in our doggie travel bag that we use and love.

I like to be prepared, so we have a small grooming kit as well.

Grooming kit includes: Greenies Pill Pockets, medications for both boys, homemade ear cleaner, toothbrush/toothpaste, furminator brush, spare nail clippers, scissors, shot records, wet wipes, anti-itch spray.

We absolutely love traveling with our dogs, and including them in all that we do. Having this ‘dog bag’ ready to go at a moments notice makes things all the more enjoyable for us.

  2. After study a number of of the blog posts on your web site now, and I really like your approach of blogging. I bookmarked it to my bookmark website listing and might be checking back soon. Pls take a look at my website online as nicely and let me know what you think.

  3. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
